“CHIPPING” IN PROSE OF THE 21ST CENTURY

30. January 2023.

Another “Reading and Prose” evening was held in Zaprokul, and this time the public had the opportunity to meet two more young representatives of the contemporary Serbian prose scene.

Our guests were writers: Sanja Savić Milosavljević and Dalibor Pejić, and we were led through another exciting journey by: Marko Avramović, literary critic, member of the Andrić Award jury.

The writer Savić Milosavljević shared her experience of publishing novels, short stories, as well as working on the screenplay of the famous television series “Time of Evil” based on the novel by Dobrica Ćosić, pointing out that she has gone through a long and arduous journey of writing prose. She read interesting parts of the novel “Neostrhine”, which was shortlisted for the Nino Prize, and which was also translated into German.

Dalibor Pejić, winner of the “Đura Đukanov” prize and a writer who was shortlisted for the Nino prize, shared with the audience parts of his debut novel “Moonlighters”, pointing out the value of such gatherings, which provide the possibility for prose to find its way to readers, but also for young authors to be recognized by the cultural public.

The next “ČIP 2” in prose awaits you already in February!
