From the forum: Awareness of the world – important messages about the culture of environmental were heard

Today, in the Institute , in cooperation with the Eco Center for Socio-Ecological Research and Documentation, a panel discussion “World Awareness – Education for Sustainable Development for Children and Youth” was held. The forum was realized within the BIOSPHERE week, which is an integral part of the rich program of the BIOS ART event, dedicated to the culture of environmental awareness, which the Institute and partner organizations are implementing in June.

Participants: Gordana Brun, School for Survival, Tanja Petrovic, Young Researchers of Serbia, Jelena Bjegovic, Eco Center, Zorica Ivic Radjenovic, Agricultural School with dormitory PK Belgrade, and the panel was moderated by Dejan Zagorac, Eco Center and Zaprokul.

Ms. Brun pointed out that Serbia was the first country to draft a Resolution on Environmental Protection and adopt a program on priority activities for nature conservation and protection, but also pointed out the importance of including education and continuing successful cooperation between the two ministries.

Tanja Petrovic presented the Young Researchers of Serbia – a unique, non-profit organization, which through education, guided by scientific knowledge, contributes to: protection and improvement of the environment, promoting the principles of sustainable development, creativity and more active youth. “Today, Young Researchers of Serbia is an organization at the national level, consisting of several thematically different and interconnected sectors.”

Professor Zorica Ivić Radjenović spoke in front of the Agricultural School with the dormitory of the students of PK Belgrade, presenting the school’s curricula, but also the rich international cooperation. “From this area, our school is the only member of FlorCert – the European association of professional florists, high schools and colleges of this educational profile. He also cooperates with other floristic associations from Italy and the Netherlands. The school has entered the “K-1 Erasmus +” project, which includes educating teachers and students on the topic of araching, as an important part of sustainable development and environmental protection. ”

Ms. Bjegović from the Eco Centers presented this important organization and pointed out that: “in order to improve the situation in the field of ecology, it is necessary to systematically solve the problem of waste management, both classic and animal, especially herbicide and pesticide packaging.” It is necessary to raise people’s awareness of responsible and sustainable use of agro-technical measures and land use. ”

The moderator of the forum, Dejan Zagorac, the author of the edition Tastes and researcher of the Institute, pointed out the importance of preserving the culture of environmental awareness and the importance of mutual cooperation of all actors in the field of ecology and environmental protection. At the very end, the Erasmus + project IN cult on intangible cultural heritage was presented, which the Instituteis implementing with 5 organizations from Europe.
