About the secret relationships of Zeus, Miloš Obilić and Captain America
A new large panel that will reveal the secret connections between Zeus, Miloš Obilić and Captain America, entitled “Historical and Epic Heroes”, organized by Zaprokul, will be held on Tuesday, February 28 at 7 pm in the Belgrade Youth Center (AMERIKANA hall).
We will discuss important topics that occupy the public from ancient times to the modern world – how motifs from the past spread and enter today’s culture. Does our pantheon communicate with the global? History and epic in their antagonism will reveal to us whether, and in what way, Marko Kraljević is a mystification of Perun, as well as which contemporary heroes we mystify today.
We will present distinguished authors from various fields with the intention of illuminating the cultural reflections of our historical and epic heroes and anti-heroes through conversation. We expect that the topic, as well as the public dialogue initiated by it, will be an important contribution to the contemporary cultural approach to our real and imaginary heroes, but also to a creatively enlightening confrontation with them.
